Extend 1 inch on each end of roof. Install ridge cap the entire length of roof, overlapping each flank approximately six inches. Center ridge cap and extend past roof edge approximately 1 inch.

Using the pencil markings as a guide, apply the self adhesive closure casket to full length of the roof, just above the pencil marks on each side of the roof. These lines will be used to locate and apply self-adhesive closure gasket.

To start the process, center ridge cap on the peak of the roof, strike a line along the ridge cap edge on each side. Now they’re raking corner is installed it’s time for the ridge cap. Again fasten bottom edge into gable trim every 12 inches using roofing screws.

Fasten top edge in the purlin on rooftop. Cut the raking corner for the opposite roof half and overlap as shown. Fasten bottom edge into gable trim every twelve inches using roofing screws. At the peak, cut the raking corner so it is flush with the edge of the opposite roof line. When installing the raking corner, start at the bottom of raking corner one-half inch past the bottom of the roof edge. Now that the metal panels are installed, it’s time for the raking corner and ridge cap installation. Measure required panel width, allowing for rib lap to outside edge of gable trim. Measure panel and score along the measurement line, then bend the excess metal of the panel along the scoreline. Glass metal panel will need to be cut, so that it is flush with the outside edge of the cable trim. When adding additional roof panel, lap first river previous metal panel and newly added panel, attach an early lower channel and in each purlin moving toward the top of the roof. Continue to add insulation and metal roof panels. Allow a one-inch overhang at bottom roof edge, a wood block can be used to assist in align the panel edges. With L-trim installed it’s time to install the insulation and metal roof panels. When applying multiple length of L-trim, overlap pieces one inch. Now alternate place every twelve inches from gable to gable on both sides of the roof. Now that the purlin are attached to the roof or if optional installation package is not used, align L-trim room with bottom edge of roof and extend one-half inch beyond gable on each end. Measuring cup length of purlin to fit between end of purlin an inside edge of gable trim. Now in place, so purlin extend from gable to gable. The space between the second to last and last purlin will not be two feet, this is okay. The insulation panel can be cut to fit. When reaching the top of the roof, the last purlin must align the top edge of the roof. Repeat the process of adding felt paper and purlin moving toward the top of the roof. To ensure a consistent space between purlin, cut a two foot long two-by-four to use as a spacer when placing the purlin. If additional layer of insulation are used to increase the R value, place additional purlin flush with outer edge of gable trim. With a couple coarse of felt paper applied, it’s time to fasten the optional insulation purlin. Butt the first layer of purlin against the gable fascia board and align lowest purlin with bottom edge of roof. Apply second course of felt paper full length, and overlap using the overlap line found on the felt paper. Repeat the process of attaching felt paper to roof. Align first piece of felt paper, with bottom edge of roof and extend full length, attach using a staple gun or roofing cap nails.
